Diagnosing Psycho-emotional disorders in TCM

There is no dualism between the body and mind. There is no heirarchy in TCM of psychological over somatic functions or symptoms. Treat the body you treat the mind - treat the mind you treat the body. One does not exist without the other. The seven basic emotions related to organ function are anger, joy, worry, pensiveness, sadness,  fear , and shock (fright).
